Q: The text of menu and window looks a little bit strange for me - some unreadable symbols, instead of my familiar letters… How can I understand them?
A: From main menu: choose "Language", then - pick up the language you prefer. Restart the program in order to activate your choice.

Q: What this message means: "The advanced SmartChords© technology of chords determining is disabled!"?
A: "Karaoke-to-Text-with-Chords" has 2 algorithms of chord's definition in the karaoke files:

• standard algorithm of chord's definition,
• advanced technology of definition - SmartChords.

SmartChords technology can be used only by registered users.

Q: I've registered the program. How can I use "SmartChords" technology?
A: To activate "SmartChords" technology - open program's settings (F5), choose page "Chords" and check the ""SmartChords" technology" check box.

Saving the text with chords

Q: How and where program saves the lyrics of the song?
A: The text of composition with the chords doesn't go immediately for saving on your disk. It is transferred in to "Transposer" program. "Transposer" is a specialized text editor which works with the song's lyrics with chords. You can get it free from our site.

Using "Transposer" you can manage (edit, correct, or modify) processed file and then save it as a text file on your disk. "Transposer" also can keep the texts of several compositions in one file and allows you easy to find and switch the compositions.

Q: I've downloaded and installed "Transposer", but when I wanted to save the text, I've got the message: "Transposer is not found…"?
A: In the program options (page "Export") show the location of program "Transposer" on your disk:

Q: How can I get into "Transposer" pure text with chords, without any comment or additional information?
A: If you don't want to have additional information about composition, which is part of original karaoke file, uncheck "Place the comments from MIDI file..." on "Export" page.

Listening the melody

Q: During play back, the speed of playing is not stable. It goes unpredictable slower or faster. Why?
A: Don't panic! First, try to analyze the situation on your computer. As you know, the music files are not so small and take a lot of memory and energy of your computer. Close unused program and try again. If your computer still doesn't handle that, increase the value of timer (in the program settings - "Sound and MIDI"):

You can increase the this value up to 50 msec.
